£20,000 National Lottery Boost for Croydon Community Action Guardians

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Croydon Community Action Guardians (CCAG) has been awarded £20,000 in funding from The National Lottery Community Fund!

This incredible support is a huge moment for our team and the local community we serve. Thanks to National Lottery players, we’ll be able to scale up our much-needed school-time community patrols, helping to create safer routes and environments for young people as they travel to and from school.

This funding will help us:

  • Relaunch and expand our community patrols after Easter
  • Establish a strong volunteer recruitment and training pipeline ahead of a full-scale relaunch in September 2025
  • Strengthen our internal safeguarding and operations
  • Build our fundraising capacity and community engagement
  • Continue working closely with local schools, organisations, and families

We’re especially excited about the opportunity this gives us to embed our patrol model, train new leaders, and bring even more local residents into the work of making Croydon’s streets safer, more connected, and more empowering for the next generation.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund and every single person who plays the National Lottery. Your contribution is helping grassroots organisations like ours create real, visible impact in their communities.

We’ll be sharing updates on our patrol relaunch, volunteer opportunities, and community engagement events in the coming weeks — so stay tuned and keep supporting this powerful movement for local change.

Together, we protect. Together, we grow. 💛
